Real Wedding - Danielle & Devon's Autumn Wedding

As the summer comes to an end and a new season approaches, we thought this would be a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a little throwback to Danielle and Devon’s dreamy autumn celebration in the rolling Devonshire countryside.

There are tonnes of reasons to choose Autumn as the time to share your love story, with the seasonal scenery providing endless exquisite backdrops and the delectable colour palette (we are so here for those burnt orange, warm gold and soft copper hues). Plus, hosting a celebration that falls just outside of the peak wedding season is often rather handy in terms of budgets and logistics, with venues often having more availability. And with the drop in temperatures, couples look to autumnal-inspired aisle styles, such as lace sleeves on gowns or three-piece tweed suits for the grooms. With that in mind, grab a cosy cup of coffee and scroll through Danielle and Devon’s autumn wedding and soak up all the inspo…

As the day of the wedding arrived the couple were spoilt with crisp yet golden sunshine - the perfect weather for their autumnal celebration. Danielle and Devon had fallen head over heels in love with their venue, a charming barn nestled within the Devonshire countryside, where couples are spoilt with a blank canvas space oozing an industrial-meets-luxury vibe.

Danielle and her bridal party popped open the champagne and began getting ready. The bride stepped into her FrillyFrocks fitted floor length lace gown, elevated to perfection with wonderfully delicate sleeves. She wore her hair in relaxed loose curls that cascaded over her shoulders, while her bridal look was finished with soft yet radiant make up by the talented Changing Faces. The bridesmaids looked equally as beautiful, wearing floaty burnt orange dresses that were a divine colour to match their Autumn wedding colour scheme. Devon was a picture of sophistication with a three-piece checked suit, complementing the autumn colour palette with a peach-toned tie. There is nothing quite like that anticipated and excited atmosphere on the morning ofa wedding day and as a wedding planner, I’ll never tire of it.

Following a traditional church ceremony, the couple made their way to their venue for those all-important confetti moments in the gardens (without a doubt, one of my favourite parts of any wedding day!). It was then time for the drinks reception, where the newly weds mingled with their guests and enjoyed live music to get the party started. Danielle and Devon snuck off for their intimate couple shots with Joshua Gooding and Sam Sparks, ensuring they got those gorgeous golden hour photos.

Danielle and Devon made their grand entrance into the Barn ready for a feast by Mulberry, where scrumptious seasonal dishes were served up for everyone to tuck into. The table scapes were the essence of autumn, overflowing blooms and green foliage adorned the tables, beautifully curated by Alice at From the Wild. Dried flowers were gracefully placed with the table settings, accompanied by pumpkin-coloured napkin – the perfect nod to the season!

As the evening drew in and the sky was scattered with twinkling stars, the happy couple and their guests danced to live music until their feet hurt! The atmosphere was joyous, the room was filled with love and memories were made - witnessing this is just one of my favourite parts of being a wedding planner.
